Founded in 2006 by the ARA Educational Foundation, ARA University was created to meet a growing industry need: accessible, practical training designed specifically for automotive recyclers.
The earliest courses focused on Inventory Specialist training and Parts Grading—an initiative that helped standardize recycled auto parts descriptions, opening the door to increased profits, improved sales channels, and greater professionalism across the industry.
As the training program grew, so did its mission. ARA University continues to evolve alongside the industry, identifying emerging challenges and delivering education that helps automotive recycling businesses operate at the highest levels—safely, efficiently, and profitably.
